"For
I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and
you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited
me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked
after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." Then the
righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and
feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we
see you a stranger and invite you in, or clothe you? When did we
see you sick or in prison and go visit you?' "The king will
reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least
of these brothers of mine,
you did for me." Matthew 25: 35-40
Hungry
I want wish
all of you a Happy Thanksgiving week and weekend. This week's Hello
From Maple Grove was written with Thanksgiving in mind. God is good!
Remember to offer your praise and thanks up to Him this week.
It is a sad reality that in the world today
there are far too many who suffer from physical hunger and malnutrition.
We, who live in a country so blessed, perhaps do not understand
this. We should do all that we can to help those in need. In Matthew
25: 35-40 we are given this example: "For I was hungry and
you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something
to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes
and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in
prison and you came to visit me." Then the righteous will answer
him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty
and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger
and invite you in, or clothe you? When did we see you sick or in
prison and go visit you?' "The king will reply, 'I tell you
the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers
of mine, you did for me." There are people all around us
who have needs. We are called to take God's blessings and share
them with those in need.
Physical hunger is a reality in our world but
there is another hunger as well. Spiritual hunger. The world is
hungry for the truth and love of God. There are many who face 'spiritual
starvation.' Perhaps you are one? Where can we go to be fed? Then
Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to
me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be
thirsty." John 6: 35 Are you willing to fall on your knees
and offer yourself to the 'Bread of Life?' Will you place your trust
in Him? For He is the source of love, faithfulness, goodness, strength,
and hope. Let us raise our voices in praise to Him at all times!
I pray that all is well with you. Please let
me know if you have any prayer concerns or praises. Have a great
week and remember to smile :), the Lord loves you!
In Christ,
