"I have been crucified
with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life
I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved
me and gave himself for me."
-Galatians 2: 20
Worthy?
Have you ever felt that you are
not good enough for God? Worthy enough? Well, I have some new for
you...'you're not!' None of us will ever be 'good enough.' That
is why God is so worthy of our love, praise, and worship. Galatians
2: 16 reminds us that no man is justified by the works of the
law but only by faith in Jesus Christ. "...know that a man
is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ.
So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified
by faith in Christ and not by observing the law because by observing
the law no one will be justified." (Galatians 2: 16) Are
you worthy? Of course not! None of us are good enough and there
is only one way to be justified and that is by faith! God doesn't
wait for us to be worthy...instead, "But God demonstrates
his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ
died for us." (Romans 5: 8) Thank you, Lord. Jesus, truly
is worthy!
Our salvation comes from our faith in Jesus not by our works. We
cannot earn 'worthiness' by what we do but that does not mean that
our works are not important. "For we are God's workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in
advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10) We are called to
live our lives for Him, the One who is worthy. Our lives should
be a testimony to those around us of all that God, through His Son,
has done for us. We are not worthy but we can live a life that is
worthy of all that God has done for us. "As a prisoner for
the Lord, then I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you
have received." (Ephesians 4: 1) Amen!
Take a moment and encourage someone this week.
I pray that all is well for you. Please let me know if you have
any prayer concerns or praises. Have a great week and remember to
smile :), the Lord loves you!

"Sing to the Lord, all
the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory
among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great
is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above
all gods."
