Who You Gonna Call?

Some of you might recall the 1984 movie, 'Ghostbusters.' This comedy was about 3 professors of 'parapsychology that find themselves unemployed and set up shop as a 'ghost removal service.' People who had problems with 'ghosts' could call the Ghostbusters to rid the ghosts from their lives. They even had a catchy song that helped to advertise their services. Some of the lyrics go like this...'If there's something strange in your neighborhood, Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! If there is something strange and it don't look good, Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!'

Each of us in our lives are faced with different issues or problems. When faced with life's trials, the highs and lows, any situation that comes your way, wouldn't it be nice to have 'someone you can call?' Well, I have great news for you! You do! His Name is Jesus. When you have a need in your life, call on Him. What do you get when you call on the Name of Jesus? Everything! The verses below (and at the top and bottom of this e-mail) give some examples of what you get when you call on Jesus.

"...And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." -Isaiah 9: 6
"...Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world." -John 1: 29
"...Do not weep! See the Lion of the tribe of Judah, has triumphed!..." -Revelation 5: 5
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." -John 14:6
"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." -John 10: 11
"Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." -Hebrews 4: 14-16

No matter what situation you find yourself in, God, through His Son, has you covered! Thank-you, Lord! And remember, "that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on the earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2: 10-11)
