"I desire to do your will,
O my God; your law is within my heart."
-Psalm 40: 8
Can God Use Me?
Have you ever wondered if God can
use you? I know that I have. When I look at myself, my life and
the many mistakes I have made, the weaknesses I have; I wonder how
God can use someone like me. But let's take a look at some of the
people that God has used for His purpose. Get out your Bible and
read about the following.
Moses, a man who had committed murder. (Exodus 2: 11-12)
Elijah, who suffered from periods of deep depression and doubt.
(1st Kings 19: 3-5)
Peter, who publicly denied Christ not just once but three times.
(Matthew 26: 69-75)
Samson, who struggled with recurring lust. (Judges 16: 1-22)
Thomas, who doubted Christ's resurrection. (John 20: 24-28)
Jacob, who deceived his brother Esau. (Genesis 25)
Rahab, who was a prostitute. (Joshua 6: 24-25)
Jephthath, who was an illegitimate child. (Judges 10: 6 - 12: 7)
David, who committed adultery and who had Uriah killed. (2nd Samuel
11-12)
God has used people who have committed murder, adultery, suffered
from depression, were filled with doubts, struggled with lust, and
even some who had denied Him. People who were not perfect but who
did have a desire to serve Him. People who sometimes 'failed' in
their lives but who had a 'willing spirit!' We all struggle in some
aspect of our life, Lord knows that I do. But if you have a willing
spirit to do God's will...He will use you! Read Psalm 25 below.
May it be a prayer from each us to our Lord. Can God use you? The
answer is, YES! I pray that our spirits will be willing to humble
ourselves before God and let Him use us to do His will. Amen!
Take a moment and encourage someone this week.
I pray that all is well with you. Please let me know if you have
any prayer concerns or praises. Have a great week and remember to
smile :), the Lord loves you!

"To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God.
Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.
No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they
will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse.
Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your
truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in
you all day long.
Remember, O Lord, your great mercy and love for they are from of
old. Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according
to your love remember me, for you are good, O Lord.
Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. He guides the humble
in what is right and teaches them his way. All the ways of the Lord
are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of his covenant."
-Psalm 25: 1-10
