MISSION NEWS
JUNE 12 the Mission Team consisting of:
Pastor Dwayne, Tonda Carrick, Bonnie Reagan, Randy & Terri Sizemore
and Sandi Sizemore will fly to NAVAJOLAND for our MISSION TRIP for
this spring. They will be leading a Vacation Bible School at the
Gamerco Church of God with opportunity to do some small work projects.
They will fly back on JUNE 19.
We want to THANK EVERYONE again who helped out in any way to make
the Haystack/Auction a GREAT success, for your participation in
the Hacienda Night and the Mini Golf Outing.
Please keep those on our mission team in your prayers. Pray for
the lives that they will touch. Pray for the children at the Bible
School that they will be receptive to our teaching. THANKS!
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
It's that time again! We're looking for teachers
for Sunday School starting in SEPTEMBER and also for WED.
NIGHT activities which will be coming up soon as well. If you
would like to keep your position held previously, just let Tonda
Carrick, Cissy Hartsough, Jaimene Garner or Marla Snider know.
HELP WANTED! We are getting around teachers for Wed. Nights
and have needs in a few areas. Would you like to lead around a group
of 10 kids or less? Help with games?? Have preschoolers crawling
up on your lap and giving you hugs and saying the cutest things?
Has God gifted you with patience; do you like to work with kids?
Or are you an energetic person that has a half an hour to give each
week? If you think you fall into one of these areas then WE NEED
YOU!!! Our curriculum is really quite easy to use and it's very
rewarding work! Let Tonda or Jaimene know ASAP if you are interested.
Wednesday Evening Activities will start back up in September.
WOMEN'S MINISTRY
AUGUST 3RD the women will be meeting at
the church at 6:00 pm. We will get together to make natural leaf
embossed bird baths out of a concrete mixture. It is a two part
project, we will complete the following week after the concrete
has set and we can paint/finish the birdbaths. All supplies will
be provided, but a small fee of around 5.-will be needed to cover
them.
CHECK-OUT the Welcome Center for
pages to fill out with your favorite recipes to be put in the new
CHURCH COOK BOOK.
SMALL GROUPS
AUGUST 8 at 6:00 pm at the church Runkle/Kirkdorffer
small group will be meeting to study Revelations.
We would like to invite any of you who are not involved with a group
but would like to join please let Pastor Dwayne or one of the leaders
know. We are listing all the groups that are meeting right now and
when they will be meeting again. If you would like to join one of
them please let us know.
MENTOR/MENTEE
Don't forget to turn in your Mentor/Mentee papers
to Pastor Dwayne. Won't you invest in the life of someone else?
Or perhaps you yourself need support from another. Prayerfully consider
how you feel God leading you.
